Alicia Teubert
Alicia is originally from Saline, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan for undergrad. She graduated with a degree in political science and communications. Both she and her husband love the outdoors and the mountains so they moved down to Tennessee to live.Alicia is a 3rd year at UT and following the transactional concentration. She hopes to practice in the transactional field after graduation, particularly focusing on tax, secured transactions, corporate law, real estate, and estate planning. She is active in several organizations at UT including Phi Alpha Delta, Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law, The Animal Law Project, and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.

April Young
April was born in Detroit, Michigan, but spent most of her life in Orlando, FL. She went to the University of Central Florida and graduated with a bachelors of science in legal studies and business administration. April interned at the Florida State Senate and Siemens Energy, Inc., during undergrad. Additionally, April studied abroad in Europe and focused on World War II history. At UT, she volunteers with her church and Saturday Bar. In her free time, April enjoys theatre, movies, theme parks, and spending time with her family.Hometown: Orlando, FL

Andy Sumner
Andy came to UT Law straight from undergrad at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a BA in Political Science and double minors in History and African American Studies. Andy is originally from Gastonia, North Carolina (outside of Charlotte) and feels at home in the Appalachian Mountains. He is interested in business and real estate law, but does not intend to complete one of the concentration "tracks". Andy is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Tennessee Bar Association, and SBA. Andy worked over the summer for Dale L. Buchanan and Associates, PC, a Knoxville social security disability law firm. Andy was captain of the intramural championship-winning 1L law school basketball team and will dunk on anyone who chooses to play in the weekly law school basketball games.Hometown: Gastonia, NC

Mari Aoyagi
Mari is an international student from Japan who went to International Christian University ("ICU") in Tokyo, Japan, and majored in Intercultural Communication. While at ICU, she studied at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a year as an exchange student, fell in love with the South, and decided to return to the area for law school.At UT, she is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the International Law Society (Immigration Law), and the Asian Law Students Association. Mari is especially interested in Public Health/Health Care and International Law. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, photography and cooking.

Jeanai Ranero
Jeanai Ranero is native of New Orleans, Louisiana, who moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University. She graduated with a BA in accounting and played collegiate soccer. She worked two years as an accountant before entering law school, where she intends to focuses on tax law. Mili Shah
After 4 years in NYC, Mili decided it was time to return to the South. While at NYU, she founded her own competitive dance team, NYU Raas Malai, which went on to win championships in D.C., Boston, Chicago, and Detroit. Her team was also selected for America's Best Dance Crew in Fall 2008. Too bad Mili wasn't going to forfeit the glories of law school to slave away in Hollywood. Mili is currently pursuing her MBA over at the business school, so she will become part of the law school's class of 2012.Hometown: Atlanta, GA
