Brad Lampley '00 youngest to be elected chairman of Music City Bowl

Adams and Reese Nashville Office Partner in Charge Brad Lampley, at the age of 35, has been named the Chairman-Elect of the Music City Bowl and will serve as Chairman in 2011 and 2012. Lampley will be the youngest chairman in the bowl's history.

Lampley, who two years ago became the youngest Partner in Charge in the history of Adams and Reese, has a multifaceted practice, serving as legislative counsel to trade associations and businesses with interests before the Tennessee General Assembly. He also focuses on business litigation and commercial dispute resolution, with experience in real estate, banking and construction litigation, and sports law.  

Lampley was named to the inaugural class of the Nashville Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40. He was also named to the Mid-South Rising Stars list of outstanding young lawyers in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas by Mid-South Super Lawyers Magazine.

Active civically, Lampley serves on the board of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the National Football Foundation, which provides college scholarships to leading scholar-athletes from high schools throughout Middle Tennessee. Additionally, he serves as an advisor for The Jason Foundation, which works to prevent teen suicide. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Lampley graduated from the University of Tennessee, where he was named Top Graduate of the College of Communications. He also played offensive tackle for the Volunteers’ football team, where he was a member of Coach Phillip Fulmer’s first recruiting class, and was part of one of the winningest senior classes in Southeastern Conference history. He was named Academic All-SEC three times, and was a four-time recipient of the UT Athletic Department Academic Achievement Award. He also served as the University’s delegate to the SEC Student-Athlete Advisory Council and later served as the student-athlete representative to the UT Athletics Board.

The 2010 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl will be played on Thursday, December 30, at 5:30 p.m. CST at LP Field. 

The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl (501(c)(3) nonprofit organization) is an annual postseason collegiate Bowl featuring the Atlantic Coast and Southeastern Conferences. Televised nationally to millions of viewers and listeners on ESPN and Nevada Sports Radio Network, the Bowl is Nashville’s Holiday Tradition.
