College co-sponsoring conference on Energy and Responsibility in April 2008

"Energy and Responsibility:  A Conference on Energy and Environment" will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee, April 10-12, 2008.  This conference invites ethicists, legal theorists, energy policy makers, energy enterprises and environmental activists to engage in a conversation about ethics and responsibility in the contested terrain of energy and the environment. 

The UT College iof Law is one of several sponsors of the event.

Submissions on the ethical dimensions of energy production and consumption and energy policy are welcome.  Deadline for abstracts is Oct. 1, 2007.  Selected papers will be published in an anthology by a major academic press.
