Dean's Office
The Dean's Office includes the interim Dean of the College, John L. Sobieski, Jr.; the Associate Dean for Academic
Affairs, Douglas A. Blaze; the Human Resources and Administration
Manager, Mary Ann James; and Administrative Services
Assistants Anita Monroe and LaVaun Browder.
The staff members in the Dean's Office provide administrative and
secretarial support to the Dean and Associate Dean for Academic
Affairs, working closely with students, faculty, and staff within
the College; other academic departments and central administration
of the University; alumni; members of the bar, the judiciary, and
elected officials at the local, state, and national level; professional
organizations; news media; and the general public. In addition,
the Dean's Office staff provides many services for the College,
including managing the use of the facility by both internal and
external constituencies and coordinating classroom technology requests
and facilities set-ups; planning and coordinating major events;
overseeing mail and duplication services and services for faculty;
managing human resources for non-exempt staff; handling building
access, mag locks and security; and coordinating a number of activities
associated with professional organizations at the local, state,
and national level.
