“UT Squared” would best describe these two talented siblings from Texas. Norene and Lillian performed as The Napper Sisters at various venues in Texas displaying their expertise with the fiddle, guitar, and mandolin as well as singing, clogging, and interacting with the audience. They left the “other” UT behind to pursue law school in Tennessee
Lillian: “The University of Tennessee College of Law offers a unique blend of dedication and enthusiasm, a combination that is sometimes lacking in the modern professional world. Located in the heart of downtown Knoxville, students are able to learn about a variety of subject areas from some of Tennessee’s greatest local and nationally-recognized attorneys and legal scholars both inside and outside the classroom. With one of the oldest and most successful advocacy programs in the country, UT offers students the opportunity to transform textbooks into reality, crafting attorneys who are both zealous and ethical advocates for a diverse range of clients. In short, UT instills a sense of competition and challenge within students, not among each other, but within ourselves, making us strive to learn from an increasingly diverse network of colleagues, alumni and friends in order to make our contribution to society and leave the world a better place.”
Norene: “What has impressed me the most about the University of Tennessee College of Law are the individuals that make up the law school. Professors and adjuncts are dedicated and enthusiastic. Their availability to students is remarkable considering how active they are not only in scholarly circles but in the community as well. Administration and staff provide support to both students and professors, ensuring that the school operates smoothly and that everyone is given opportunities to further their legal education. The student body is a dynamic group of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. My peers continue to amaze me with their ideas and perspectives as well as their support of one another. I am proud to be a part of the University of Tennessee College of Law community, a community whose tradition and innovation is built on the strength and ingenuity of such individuals.”
