Office of Development & Alumni Affairs

The Office of Development & Alumni Affairs at the College of Law is staffed by Director Howie Avery, Annual Fund and Alumni Affairs Coordinator Lauren Herbstritt, and Advancement Assistants Jennifer Thomas and Alexis Bell. The office is committed to the development and coordination of a comprehensive advancement program.
In terms of alumni activities, the law school hosts a number of annual events, including Homecoming, the Black Law Student Association’s Julian Blackshear Scholarship banquet, and a series of regional alumni receptions and programs.

Mission
The Office of Development and Alumni Affairs will focus on four major areas of advancement activity that facilitate implementation of the strategic goals of the College of Law. These areas are:
- Annual Giving
- Solicitation of Multi-Year Major Gifts
- Planned Giving and Endowment Management
- Alumni and Public Affairs
