What's Next? Steps in the Acceptance Process

Seat Deposit: Confirmation of Intent to Enroll

Payment of the seat deposits serve as confirmation of your written acceptance of our offer of admission and an indication of your intent to enroll for Fall Semester 2012. A $500.00 seat deposit is required.  This amount will be credited against Fall Semester 2012 fees due to the University of Tennessee. The first installment of $250.00 is payable by Monday, April 16, 2011. The second installment of $250.00 is payable by Friday, June 1, 2012.  Payment may be made by check or money order to "The University of Tennessee" and mailed to this office.  Please note these dates on your calendar.  If we do not hear from you, your seat in the entering class will be offered to another candidate.

Verification of Graduation

The American Bar Association requires entering law students to show proof of graduation with a baccalaureate degree. Therefore, admission to the College of Law is conditional based upon your graduation and our receipt of your official undergraduate transcript.  Please instruct your undergraduate degree-granting institution to forward an official transcript to Janet Hatcher, University of Tennessee College of Law, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, Suite 161, 1505 W Cumberland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37996-1810.

Class of 2015 Web Site

In June, class members will be directed to the Class of 2015 web site. This site will contain specific information to help you prepare to begin law school.
