Finding A Place To Live

The College of Law is located near downtown Knoxville, with a growing urban residential population of students and professionals, and adjoining an older student residential area, Fort Sanders. Since Knoxville is a college town, there many apartments and other rental opportunities at various price points from which to choose, just a short commute from campus.

Check the Greater Knoxville Apartment Guide and the classified section of the Knoxville News Sentinel or the UT Daily Beacon (campus newspaper) for rental listings.

Many 1Ls meet prospective apartment mates at college sponsored Law Preview Day events in March and May. Entering students often form a Facebook site to meet each other and facilitate sharing of information and housing discussions. Student Ambassadors are often excellent resources as well.

UT Student Housing at Volunteer Hall

Volunteer Hall is an apartment residence targeting upper division undergraduates and graduate students. Conveniently located adjacent to the College of Law, Vol Hall provides the opportunity to live with other law or graduate students in a furnished apartment. Transportation Information

KAT offers a wide variety of stops and lines that run directly to the University of Tennessee. Many apartment complexes also pay for special stops to be made at their units.
