The First-Year Curriculum
During the first week of school, new students are introduced to the
various fundamental areas of the law. The courses taken during the
first year provide the foundation on which most second- and third-year
courses are based. In addition, students are provided with essential
background information on the study of law in two mini-courses on
the Civil Litigation Process and Case Analysis and Briefing. Entering
students are assigned to sections of the first-year classes by the
Student Records Office.
