An encyclopedic view of Supreme Court opinions and justices. Foreign Law Guide
The Foreign Law Guide is organized by country and provides detailed information (and links where available) on how and where to find codes, legislation, and, to a lesser extent, court decisions and administrative materials from jurisdictions around the world. Each country’s entry includes a brief description of its form of government and its legal history, together with detailed narrative on locating that country’s law, both by type of law (statutes, case opinions) and by subject (tax, environmental law). The Foreign Law Guide also includes an alphabetical listing of major international treaties and conventions with helpful links and information on finding treaties in print.

Hein - On- Line
After following link to Hein Online, click on “Subscribers, Please Enter Here” link to get started. Hein Online provides .pdf images of full runs of law journals. Also includes the Federal Register, archival editions of the Code of Federal Regulations, treaties and agreements, state and federal session laws, the English Reports (full reprint), United States Supreme Court decisions, opinions of the United States Attorney General, American Law Institute materials, an archive of foreign and international legal resources, and much more.

Index to Legal Periodicals
Index to Legal Periodicals provides access to databases of full text legal articles and indexed citations to legal articles and texts. Indexed materials include law reviews, bar association journals, university publications, yearbooks, institutes, and government publications. Many of the indexed citations to articles and texts also have links to locate the full text of the materials in UT ’s print and electronic collections.

International Law in Domestic Courts
Selected opinions involving international law issues from domestic courts around the world. Full text opinions are in language of originating country but are accompanied by expert English language summaries and translations of key parts of holdings. Database is searchable or may be browsed by issue or country.

LegalTrac
LegalTrac provides indexing for approximately 875 titles including law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international legal journals. Coverage also includes law-related articles from additional business and general interest titles. Less comprehensive, but comparable to the print title Current Law Index. Many of the indexed citations to articles and texts also have links to locate the full text of the materials in UT ’s print and electronic collections.

LexisNexis Academic
LexisNexis Academic collection is divided into broad subject categories: News, Business, Legal Research, Medical, and Reference. It provides full text access to nearly 5,000 English language sources, including newspapers, magazines, trade journals, wire services, broadcast transcripts, business directories, SEC documents, corporate profiles, and legal information. Statistical, Environmental, and the Government Periodicals Index databases are also available via this interface.

LexisNexis Congressional
Congressional includes an index of congressional publications from 1970 to the present; Choose advanced search to select: CIS Legislative Histories for public laws going back to 1970; Congressional Research Service reports; testimony from congressional hearings; information about members and committees. Track bills as they move through the House and Senate. The database also includes: profiles, voting records, campaign finance, and financial disclosure data for members of Congress, the U.S. Code, and commentary from the Washington Post. Search the Congressional Record, Federal Register and the National Journal.

Social Science Research Network (SSRN)
Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research and is composed of a number of specialized research networks in each of the social sciences. The Legal Scholarship Network (LSN), is a division of SSRN. SSRN allows authors to upload papers without charge, and any paper an author uploads to SSRN is downloadable for free, worldwide. SSRN also provides free subscriptions to all of our abstracting journals to users in developing countries on request. The vast majority of downloads of papers from the SSRN eLibrary are free.
Available to all Web users.

Supreme Court Records and Briefs
Searchable full text collection of records and briefs from United States Supreme Court cases from 1832-1978. Records and briefs from later cases are also available on microfiche – see a reference librarian for assistance in using the microfiche collection.

Public Access Westlaw ("WestPac")
WestPac includes: case law, statutes, and regulations from all fifty states; federal case law, federal statutes (United States Code Annotated), and federal regulations (Code of Federal Regulations and the Federal Register), major secondary sources such as Black's Law Dictionary, American Jurisprudence and American Law Reports; Tennessee practice materials, Tennessee and general legal forms, and Tennessee legal journals and law reviews. Also includes access to KeyCite, a citation service that allows researchers to determine whether their case or statute is still "good law."
