The Clinic Facilities
Virtual Tour
|

Tennessee’s Clinical Programs occupy most of the ground floor of the law school, and have a separate reception area, client entrance, and dedicated client parking. Here Professor Anderson talks to a student in the reception area.
|
The Clinic boasts state-of-the-art interview rooms
which are wired for sound and videotaping capabilities. This enables
Clinic Faculty to review interviews during the actual interview,
or later via videotape, in order to more completely critique the
student's interviewing skills. The Clinic classroom includes a smart podium and a judge’s bench, allowing for computer presentations and mock trials or mock oral arguments.

|
Legal Clinic faculty meet with incoming clinic students
one day prior to the start of classes. This day is spent orienting
students to the layout of the Clinic and exactly what is expected
of them during their time in the clinic. The day is also spent
taking care of administrative details such as scheduling offices,
office hours, partner selection as well as supervisor/student
groups. The day ends with faculty, students and staff meeting
in a social setting.

The Art Stolnitz Legal Clinic Library is located in room 84. The Clinic Library includes special clinic copies of key publications, as well as video equipment for case reviews, and a computer port linked to Knox County’s Justice Information Management System (JIMS). These facilities allow students to prepare their cases, review their work, and discover necessary criminal history and case information.

|
Clinic students work in pairs and share office spaces equipped with computers and separate phone lines. During business hours the students or the receptionist answer each phone line.
