All students must successfully complete one course devoted to the
study of other legal systems, insights of other academic disciplines
(such as history, literature, economics, philosophy, anthropology,
or sociology), or other non-traditional viewpoints on legal concepts
or problems.
The following courses satisfy this requirement: American
Legal History (873), Jurisprudence (877), Law & Economics (879),
Law & Literature (881), Public International Law (886), Supreme
Court (850), Tax Theory (975), and Women and the Law (958). In addition,
the Dean may designate as satisfying the requirement other courses
and seminars (including non-law courses approved for law school
